FRP Gratting

Product Overview

At INDO, we manufacture a wide range of FRP Grating in India with a variety of resins, colours, and depth, surface and mesh configurations.
FRP Grating (also known as Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Grating or Fiberglass Grating) is a composite material manufactured by combining a matrix of resin and fiberglass. FRP Grating does not corrode like steel grating and therefore used in corrosive environments to reduce maintenance costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) products are composite materials made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers like glass, carbon, or aramid. They combine the strength of reinforcing fibers with the durability and chemical resistance of polymers. FRP products are used in various industries for their unique properties.
  • FRP products offer high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and durability. They require low maintenance, provide design flexibility, and have non-conductive properties. These advantages make FRP products suitable for many applications where traditional materials fall short.
  • FRP products are widely used in construction, infrastructure, automotive, aerospace, and marine industries. They're also common in chemical processing plants and electrical applications. Their versatility allows them to replace traditional materials in many sectors.
  • FRP products are lighter, more corrosion-resistant, and often more durable than steel or concrete. They're easier to transport and install due to their light weight. In harsh environments, FRP products typically outperform traditional materials in terms of longevity and maintenance requirements.
  • While FRP production has environmental impacts, their long lifespan and low maintenance can make them more sustainable long-term. Many FRP products are recyclable at end-of-life. Manufacturers are developing more eco-friendly resins and production processes to improve sustainability.
  • FRP products often last 50 years or more with minimal maintenance, depending on the application and environment. In some cases, they outlast traditional materials, especially in corrosive settings. Their long lifespan contributes to their cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
